A goal is a predefined target of what you wish to keep track of, f.e. Subscribing to the newsletter.
You can define and track goals and sales by going to the Campaigns tab -> Select the campaign you want to modify -> Go to the category ‘Goals’.
Under ‘Goals and Sales’ you are able to set goals with corresponding criteria.
Adding a goal requires you to name the goal, add criteria, and a value. Setting criteria allows you to define a certain customer pattern on the website e.g. a customer entering the thank you-page after subscribing to the newsletter can be installed to define a goal.
Below the criteria, you can add a certain value to the goal. This can be either: no value, a fixed value, or a changing value. The changing value is for example the price of an ordered product. For the changing value, make sure to put the JavaScript code on the page that contains the goal value. Make sure you replace EXAMPLE_VALUE with the actual goal value. EXAMPLE_VALUE must be a float number or text enclosed by single quotes.
