The boomerang indicator appears when the chat returns after 12 hours from its prior activity. This indicator appears only with the messaging apps. The indicator is orange and it has a boomerang icon inside of it. Such chat appears if the boomerang option has been left enabled or has been manually enabled during the previous conversation. This does not mean that the customer started the conversation. It just appears in the chat list. The agent can start a conversation on their side or just close the chat without any action prior to this. The chat can be boomeranged up to three times, after that, it is closed and can reappear only if the same customer initiates a chat again.
