Go to the Campaigns tab -> Select the campaign you want to modify -> Go to the category 'Buttons & Greetings’.
If you have not created an automated invite yet, click ‘Add buttons & greetings’. If you did, check below in the list of greetings and click on the greeting you wish to adjust.
You can choose to use a ‘Yes/No greeting’ or a “Chatwindow greeting’.
Yes/No Greeting
This type of automated greeting allows you to type a greeting message or question. The visitor is able to press buttons to accept or decline to start a chat conversation.
Chatwindow greeting(recommended)
This type of automated invite is a greeting message when the chat window pops up. The chat is then initiated when the visitor sends the message. We recommend this in order to prevent empty chats.
Time frame
The moment when the automated invite proactively appears on the screen of the visitor is determined by the time frame of the greeting. In order to set the time frame of your automated greeting, you have to save the greeting. Then it will appear in the list of buttons & greetings. Click on the greeting.
After clicking on the greeting you click on ‘Add moment’.
Here you can fill in the criteria that determine when the visitor will be shown the automated greeting. There are four different criteria that can be used in combination with each other:
- Current page; fill in the URL of the page that visitors need to visit to receive an automated greeting.
- On the previous page; fill in the URL of the previous page the visitor must have visited in order to receive the automated greeting.
- Time on a page; fill in the time (in seconds) the visitor must have visited the current and/or previous page in order to receive the automated greeting.
- Time on the website; fill in the time (in seconds) the visitor must have visited the website in order to receive the automated greeting.
